Just got a great link from Adam Curry. It's a preview for a very interesting indie film called "Before the Music Dies". It appears to chronicle the systematic destruction of the music industry. I don't see it on Netflix yet, but it's worth a rental when and if it does appear.
I think we are losing a lot in America right now. I believe that we are starting to lose a sense of ourselves that the wonderful music of the 50's through the early 80's reflected so well. Popular music today is more about computer algorithms than appreciation.
We need to take that back AND SOON.
