Tumblr

(Thanks to mrbiotech for reminding me to review this site)

I know, you are probably not ready for more Web 2.0 sites. You can barely keep up with your Blogger, Flickr, Digg, Photobucket etc. Somedays you probably spend more time with your net accounts than you do with your family.

Enter Tumblr. Tumblr is a great way to post your various net musings all in one place. If the site you use has an RSS feed, you can link it in your Tumblr page.

Tumblr is a great use of Ruby on Rails technology. I have to admit that I have a fondness for the simplicity that ROR seems to bring to web design. The chunky buttons and large text boxes are just too cool.

You can also post from Tumblr itself. You can add text, links, photos, and movies. Unfortunately you can’t add just voice. I’m going to have to look for an app that does online voice recording and publishes that out via an RSS feed. It would be cool to have that on a mobile device. If a site like that doesn’t exist, then there would be a huge market for it.

Tumblr makes it easy to share all your net activities all in one place with family, friends, and associates.
