Really Random Thoughts

I was at the store tonight with my daughter and we were looking at the fruit snacks. Marketing people have done a great job of putting every kids brand known to mankind on the front of the fruit snack boxes.

I was reaching for my daughters requested "Nemo" snacks when I came across this diamond in the rough.

Yes, it's LEGO FRUIT SNACKS.

WTF? Do we really want kids thinking "Wow, these are great."? When they finish the box won't they just run over and devour their Lego sets next? Each "Fruit filled" piece actually LOOKS like a LEGO. Just think of the millions of dollars that were spent on the R&D alone.

I think I'm going to add this to my marketing hall of shame.

Maybe Legos should be made out of fruit snacks. Think of it. You could charge $20 for a single package that contained 10 bricks that when assembled vaguely look like a pirate and a parrot. After you are done with your little construction you could eat them. I wonder what the pirate would taste like. Probably a little salty.
