RocketBoom

Rocketboom was one of the first video podcasts (or whatever you want to call them) that I saw on the net. Its host, Amanda Congdon, was at times funny, smart, and uber political. After a time, I just got tired of that formula and unsubscribed.

Enter my TiVo (to be reviewed later). Rocketboom was on the the first "TivoCasts", which are just podcasts streamed through your TiVo box.

I was just starting to settle back into RB, and then the news broke that Amanda had left the show.

Enter the new host Joane Colan. At first, I didn't know what to think, but recently I have been getting used to her style and her fantastic accent. Really, if anyone told me anything in an English accent, I'm totally believing them.

This RB is a little different. It's a lot more toned down politically which I like. I'm not a big fan of "in your face" political ranting (there are plenty of podcasts for that). I enjoy the little website previews, the "field trips", the plain bizarre stuff that makes up this world. I guess I could call RB, a "creativity" index for the net generation.

Index
1. Rocketboom
2. TiVo
3. Amanda Congden's blog (in case you want to go "old school")
