I have spent the last day trying to figure out much of anything in the way of info on the iTunes 7.1 update. Here are the key points.
1. Support for the new Apple TV. Now if I could just get one delivered to my door, I would be grateful.
2. Full screen cover flow. I have no clue how this come in handy besides as a bragging tool for your friends. Could it be the first indication of a touch screen Mac? There have been rumors.
3. Can now view audio book coverflow. Yippee...wait...never mind. Come on iTunes get some podcast coverflow going, then we will talk.
All in all, this feels like a patch for the Apple TV more than a full release of iTunes. I'm guessing that this will probably be it until Leopard is released.

Do you know what I really hate? I ate the fact that every time there is an iTunes "update", you have to re-agree to their licensing agreement. Every single update, no matter how teeny tiny. What's that about? Even Microsoft doesn't make you do that for updates to IE. Isn't the initial agreement when you installed it on your machine enough?
I mean I hate the fact, not I ate the fact.
I ate a fact the other day.
I'm guessing IE doesn't have to bend over to the record companies that demand legal "lawyer talk" in order to keep selling their products.
I suppose, I still think it is bogus.
BTW, I could see the scrolling book covers before 7.1, so that's not new. I have rather a lot of books, so I know this is true. (remember, I love Audible)
